Destination Expert Support Officer (Italy, Rome) (Part-time role)

About the Role

We are looking for Proficient English-speaking candidates with executive administrator and customer service experience who have ideally travelled in Europe and have a genuine passion for travel.

The Destination Expert Support Officer role will require a customer service-oriented individual who is well organised, good with time keeping and has a proactive nature in their processes. This individual should excel at handling varying responsibilities, such as executive administrative tasks, following up on inquiries and reservations, and answering emails and calls.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual who thrives working remotely with cross-functional teams to achieve set goals and objectives. As most of JayWay Travel’s clientele is from North America, the ability to work flexible hours such as evenings, weekends, and some holidays are required. NOTE: This position will require working 4 hours a day, five days a week, for the next three months, starting as soon as possible by the end of May. There is a possibility that this role might be extended to a full-time Destination Expert position depending on the performance and the right fit for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting DEs with online bookings (excursions, event entrances etc.)
  • Responsible for restaurant bookings
  • Dealing with various reservations requests
  • Dealing with Train/Bus/Ferry Tickets Reservations upon request
  • Adding Content into JayWay internal system Marco (accommodation, excursions, transfers, suggestions, etc.)
  • Updating information accurately and promptly
  • Helping with various other administrative tasks
  • Assisting with other projects upon request

Preferred requirements and skills

  • High-level spoken and written English and Italian
  • Must be based in Rome
  • Excellent organisational & administrative skills
  • Flexible availability
  • Reliable internet connection
  • Previous organising, trip/event planning, or booking experience
  • Travel/Leisure & Hospitality industry experience
  • Solid knowledge of local restaurants, hospitality and local attraction areas
